“Conclusio” – Attempt to summarize the cooperation between Historical Sciences and Onomastics. Problem areas are function (Social History) vs. linguistic interpretation (Onomastics), time and circumstances of naming, transcription/ transmission versus name usage in daily life, name grammar vs. adaptation of foreign names.
